Who we are / Sustainability & responsible sourcing

Responsible sourcing. Transparent supply. Long-term thinking.

Global Trading is committed to ethical, transparent, and environmentally responsible supply practices — not as a compliance exercise, but as the commercial foundation of supply relationships built to last.

Our sustainability position

Responsible supply from a responsible source

As an Istanbul-based international trading company supplying industrial equipment, boron products, chemicals, and energy systems to buyers across 40+ countries, we recognise that our sourcing decisions have downstream environmental, social, and governance implications. Our sustainability commitment is built on four principles applied consistently across every supply relationship and every product category we operate in.

01
Supply chain transparency

We disclose the origin of every product we supply — production country, manufacturer name, and supply chain structure. We do not obscure intermediary steps or misrepresent origin. Buyers receive full traceability documentation from source to delivery.

  • Full origin disclosure on every shipment
  • Manufacturer name provided in all commercial documents
  • No undisclosed intermediaries in our supply chain

02
Verified sourcing partners

Every supplier in our network is evaluated before engagement — for product quality, documentation capability, and basic compliance with applicable trade regulations. We do not source from sanctioned entities or engage in prohibited trade activities.

  • Pre-engagement supplier qualification on all new sources
  • Sanctioned-entity screening on every new supplier
  • Documentation capability confirmed before first order

03
Responsible product categories

Our product portfolio includes renewable energy systems (solar) alongside industrial and petrochemical supply. We actively support our buyers' transition to cleaner energy by providing competitive solar system sourcing alongside conventional industrial equipment.

  • Solar PV systems, inverters & storage — active supply
  • Boron — classified EU critical mineral for green technologies
  • No supply of prohibited dual-use or weapons-grade materials

04
Shorter supply chains

Every supply chain link eliminated reduces transportation emissions, cost, and risk. Our Istanbul-based model eliminates 1–2 redistribution steps compared to European alternatives for buyers in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa — reducing the carbon footprint per unit supplied.

  • Direct origin supply — boron from Türkiye, not re-exported
  • 3–7 fewer sea-freight days vs European competitors for MENA
  • Fewer handling stages = lower breakage, waste & emissions

05
Ethical trade compliance

We comply with Turkish export control regulations and international trade sanctions regimes. We do not engage in prohibited dual-use exports, do not deal with sanctioned parties, and maintain records of all international transactions in compliance with applicable law.

  • Full compliance with Turkish export control law
  • International sanctions screening on all transactions
  • Transaction records maintained per statutory requirements

06
Long-term partnership model

Sustainable commercial relationships are inherently more responsible than transactional ones — they enable better planning, lower emergency logistics, and more efficient supply. Our framework agreement model supports buyers in moving from reactive to planned procurement, reducing waste and urgency-driven supply chain decisions.

  • Framework supply agreements reduce emergency procurement
  • Planned delivery schedules lower last-minute air freight
  • Repeat relationships reduce re-qualification overhead

Our boron sustainability context

Why Turkish boron is a responsible global resource

Boron is classified as a critical mineral by the European Union and several national governments — essential for fiberglass insulation (energy efficiency), neodymium magnets (wind turbines and EVs), and agricultural micronutrients (crop yield). Turkey's dominance of global boron reserves, combined with Eti Maden's regulated state-enterprise production model, makes Turkish-origin boron among the most traceable and responsibly produced mineral inputs available in global supply chains.

By sourcing directly from Turkey and eliminating European redistribution steps, we further reduce the transport emissions and intermediary handling associated with boron supply to the majority of the world's boron-consuming manufacturers.

Supply that you can trace, trust, and build on.
