Who we are / Our business

What we do, how we do it, and why the model works

Global Trading Ltd. is an Istanbul-based international industrial supply company. We source, procure, and export industrial equipment, raw materials, and energy systems to buyers across the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and beyond — operating as a specification-level procurement partner, not a passive product catalogue.

The business model

A sourcing partner positioned at the supply origin

Global Trading is not a manufacturer. We do not produce the products we supply. What we do — and what makes a Turkey-based sourcing partner commercially relevant to buyers in 40+ countries — is maintain direct access to production sources that most international buyers cannot reach efficiently from their own geography.

For boron products, that means a direct supply channel to Eti Maden, the world's largest boron producer — headquartered and producing within our same country, accessible to us at origin pricing that eliminates the European redistribution margin most international buyers currently absorb.

For industrial equipment, that means an established sourcing network across European and Asian manufacturers, combined with Istanbul's logistics position that reduces both transit time and cost for buyers in Iraq, UAE, Egypt, Kazakhstan, and surrounding markets relative to equivalent European suppliers.

For solar systems, NDT equipment, and security screening systems, it means supplier relationships built over 25 years of industrial trade — and a technical team that reads and validates a specification before quoting, not after.
The result is a supply model that removes unnecessary intermediaries, compresses lead times, and delivers specification-matched products with full commercial and technical documentation — from a single, accountable source with 25 years of trading history.
How a transaction works

From your requirement to your delivery — the full process

01
RFQ received

You submit your requirement — product name, grade, quantity, specification, destination port, and preferred Incoterm.

02
Technical review

We review specification against available supply — confirming grade, standard, brand equivalency, and documentation requirements before pricing.

03
Quotation issued

A competitive, itemised quotation issued with unit price, total value, lead time, Incoterm, payment terms, and documentation list.

04
Order confirmed

Purchase order received, pro-forma invoice issued, payment terms agreed. Production or sourcing order placed with manufacturer or producer.

05
Shipped & documented

Goods shipped with full documentation — COA, MSDS, packing list, commercial invoice, certificate of origin, and bill of lading.

How we engage commercially

Three supply models — one for every procurement structure

Spot Sourcing
Spot Sourcing

Single-order procurement for an immediate or project-specific requirement. Submit your RFQ, receive a competitive quotation within 24 hours, order confirmed on purchase order. Features: No minimum commitment · 24hr quote turnaround · Full documentation per shipment · All Incoterms available

Project Procurement (Most common)
Project Procurement (Most common)

Multi-line, multi-shipment procurement for a capital project or facility turnaround. We manage the full BOM sourcing across categories, brands, and delivery schedules. Features: Single point of contact for all lines · Technical review per line item · Delivery schedule management · Consolidated or split shipments

Framework Agreement
Framework Agreement

Long-term supply agreement for recurring product requirements — typically boron products, polymers, or chemicals. Fixed or indexed pricing, agreed volumes, and scheduled delivery over a defined contract period.

Who we supply

Six buyer types we serve every day

Operating Companies

Oil and gas operators, refinery operators, and petrochemical plant managers procuring instrumentation, valves, and MRO equipment for ongoing operations and shutdowns.

EPC Contractors

Engineering, procurement, and construction firms requiring multi-category supply across instrumentation, valves, electrical, and mechanical items for capital projects across the region.

Manufacturers

Glass, ceramics, fiberglass, fertilizer, detergent, and advanced materials manufacturers requiring consistent, quality-certified raw material supply — primarily boron products and industrial chemicals.

Importers & Distributors

Regional importers and industrial distributors looking to source from Turkey — either as their primary supply channel or as a competitively priced alternative to their existing European or Asian sources.

Government Agencies

Airport authorities, border control agencies, customs administrations, and security procurement departments requiring screening and threat-detection equipment for critical infrastructure.

Energy Developers

Renewable energy project developers and EPC firms procuring solar system components — modules, inverters, mounting, and storage — for utility-scale and commercial installations.

Where we operate

40+ countries across four primary regions

Middle East & North Africa

Iraq · UAE · Saudi Arabia · Kuwait · Egypt · Jordan · Oman · Qatar · Bahrain · Libya · Tunisia · Algeria · Morocco — Primary market. Strongest in oil & gas equipment and boron minerals.

Central Asia & Caspian

Kazakhstan · Azerbaijan · Turkmenistan · Uzbekistan · Georgia — Active oil and gas equipment supply corridor. Istanbul gives us a direct logistics route unavailable to European competitors.

South & Southeast Asia

India · Pakistan · Bangladesh · Malaysia · Vietnam · Indonesia — Primary for boron products (ceramics, glass, agriculture). Also active for polymers and chemicals supply.

Africa

Nigeria · Ghana · Kenya · Tanzania · Ethiopia · Algeria · Egypt (also MENA) — Growing market. Active across industrial chemicals, security equipment, and solar systems.

The sourcing case

Why source through us instead of buying direct?

Why not buy boric acid directly from Eti Maden?

Eti Maden sells in very large volumes through exclusive regional agents. For buyers who do not meet minimum tonnage thresholds or are outside an agent's covered territory, a direct relationship is not available. We fill that gap — providing access to Eti Maden-origin product in commercially viable quantities with full flexibility on Incoterms and packaging.

Why not source valves and instrumentation directly from the manufacturer?

Most European and Asian equipment manufacturers require you to work through their regional distributors — which adds a margin layer. We have established relationships that allow us to source at competitive prices and pass that efficiency to buyers, while providing a local-time-zone, English-and-Arabic-speaking single point of contact instead of navigating manufacturer export departments directly.

How do you ensure the specification is correct?

Before we quote any technical product, we review the specification against available supply — confirming pressure class, material grade, connection standard, and applicable approval (API, ATEX, SIL, etc.). We do not ship products that do not match the stated specification. Every technical shipment leaves with a COA and, where applicable, a material test report.

What is the advantage of Istanbul over a European supplier?

For buyers in Iraq, UAE, Egypt, and Kazakhstan: 3 to 7 fewer days of sea freight transit. No EU VAT complexity on re-export. Competitive customs corridor access. And a supplier operating in your time zone — which means your question sent at 9am reaches us at 9am, not 7am London or 10am Frankfurt.
